There was only one way to find out so we set about the task. After some brainstorming we all decided to go with the concept of ‘shopping by colour’. The idea being to create an online shop-front that harvested product feeds from various retail outlets and sort them by colour.
A user visiting the site is prompted to start their search by picking a colour. A simple yet fairly unique angle to the online shopping experience.
The design and branding team (that’s us!) came up with Dr.Hue – an illustrated character that acted as a bedrock for the brand development.

It’s 9 hours into the new start up business and things are flying along. We are close to a brand execution and the developers are steaming along (lots of odd sounds coming from that quarter). Looking at the developer plan it all seems to be finished by 1pm – which is a little ambitious – although as we all know developers always underestimate things….
