Over the last month I’ve been working a colour manipulation library for PHP called MrColor. Please forgive the American spelling, it is the language of the web after all.
The library is built around the idea of having an easy way to work with colour data. Once a new Color object is created you can populate it with colour values, edit those values, use those values to generate new data, and retrieve the colour in the format you require. You can download it or fork it from GitHub here:
Last month Hutchhouse was delighted to have been nominated for an award. As it turned out on the night… we won!
The evening was organised by Inca Accountants who are a major player for all things accountancy related. They have a huge client list and help dozens of small businesses in the Oxfordshire area. Their approach is both professional and personal which is why we’ve stuck with them for all these years. We take great comfort knowing our accounts are safe in their hands.
After 10 years in business Inca threw a black-tie event to celebrate their own success and to thank their customers. A fantastic meal was laid-on before the nominations were announced. It came as a pleasant surprise to have won the category for ‘Best Overall Business’ – just look at the smiles on those faces.
Being recognised for your hard work and continued business growth is always a great thing, so we have to thank the great team we have built up at Hutchhouse. We think we constitute the best digital agency in Oxfordshire and rival the very best in the country.
It’s been a great boost to the team and we’re over the moon to have this award. Thanks Inca!
It’s been a completely crazy time over at Hutchhouse recently. We’ve had the busiest summer on record having won a whole host of new accounts and subsequently, dozens of exciting new projects to get our teeth into.
As if we weren’t busy enough at the moment, the London office has just relocated to the heart of Clapham. Don’t get us wrong, we’ll still miss the busy/smoggy/expensive Soho area but we can’t help but be a little excited about the move. The change of scenery has already proved to be a good move and a great way to mix things up a little. Nothing like a change of scenery to keep the ideas fresh.
So if you happen to be walking down The Pavement and fancy dropping in – please do. We’re always pleased to see a friendly face
Thanks to all those that attended the responsive web design webinar on Tuesday the 28th of August 2012. It was great to share our understanding and experience of responsive design, thanks for your questions and feedback. We’ll be incorporating some of them in an updated seminar.
When having a website produced for your company one of the most important questions to ask is can my website be used by people of all abilities and disabilities? In this post we will be following a strict set of guidelines so your website will be accessible to everyone. Web accessibility is an important issue.
SEO (Search engine optimisation) is important because every second your website is not indexed by Google, you are missing out. Find out how Google is changing the way it indexes websites and how to take advantage of these changes in five easy steps.
They may seem to be the sort of websites that friends use to communicate with each other but social media plays an important business aspect as well. In the last six years the use of social media has almost quadrupled providing a free means for businesses to reach millions of people. Many users of social media are there to talk to friends. With the right attitude you can infiltrate a market of casual users by introducing your business into these discussions. Social media isn’t a fad; it’s a revolution.
That's right, we're looking for a creative UX/UI designer and a fully organised Project Manager to join our team. More details on both the roles are available in the blog.
